Hand forged in my shop from 19th. century implement steel, which is probably 1084 high carbon. Blade is 3/32" thick, 5 1/4" cutting edges, 9 1/2" over all length, and 1" wide at guard. Handle is African blackwood finished to a high polish, bronze guard and pommel. It is a through stick tang which is threaded and screwed into the pommel. Blade side of the guard is textured. Wickedly sharp on both edges and quick in the hand. There are a few very small occlusions on the surface due to impurities in the older steel. Heat treated in house to 57-58rc hardness. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
